JOB DESCRIPTION
Mill Machinist
We are seeking a skilled Mill Machinist responsible for setting up and operating a 5-axis CNC Mill. The role involves conducting 2-3 setups per week, ensuring machines operate effectively, and maintaining tolerance through precise inspections.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a 5-axis CNC Mill.
- Perform 2-3 setups per week.
- Complete history cards and conduct inspections using micrometers and calipers.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Maintain a dimensional accuracy of +/- .002.
- Receive daily work instructions and ensure proper machine setup.
- Repeat operations as required, typically involving longer run times.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in CNC milling (4- to 5-axis).
- Experience in setting up CNC Mill machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in maintaining a dimensional accuracy of +/-.001.
- Experience using quality instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment is a smaller, well-maintained machine shop producing aerospace industry parts. The facility operates from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Safety glasses are the only required personal protective equipment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mishawaka, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
