CNC Operator -1st Shift at Award Staffing

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: CNC Operator
• Pay Rate Range: $22.00-$27.00/hr
• Location: Minneapolis, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3PM
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prefer 2-year technical/business degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years experience operating manual machining equipment.
• Strong verbal, oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent blueprint reading capabilities.
• Excellent shop math skills.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to demonstrate and apply our workplace values.
• Flexibility to travel between multiple locations.
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working.
• Welding skills a plus.
• Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting may be required throughout the workday.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC Router.
• Set up and operate Manual Mill.
• Set up and operate Manual lathe.
• Operate various pedestal grinders, buffers, and wire wheels.
• Perform tasks while ensuring safety requirements are met.
• Responsible for daily production and ensures that work is completed on-time and within quality standards.
• Responsible for documenting accuracy and ensuring all inspection criteria are met.
• Perform equipment maintenance as recommended.
• May be asked to work in other departments as required by the business.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
