JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description Job Description About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Flatbed CNC Operator to produce high-quality acoustic panels and architectural components using PET felt and related composites. You'll be responsible for setup, programming, operation, quality inspection, and basic maintenance of a flatbed CNC with vacuum hold-down.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Setup flatbed CNC with appropriate tooling, calibrate settings, load PET sheets, and manage fixturing.

• Programming & Nesting: Import files, create CAM toolpaths, optimize nesting, and adjust parameters.

• Quality & Documentation: Inspect parts, complete inspection records, and manage documentation.

• Material Handling & Housekeeping: Move materials safely and maintain work area cleanliness.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose quality issues.

• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

• 1-3 years operating a flatbed CNC.

• Experience with oscillating knife workflows.

• Knowledge of CAM software.

• Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools.

Preferred:

• Experience cutting acoustic PET felt.

• Familiarity with knife offsets and toolpath optimization.

• Basic CAD skills.

• Lean/5S experience.

Core Competencies

• Detail orientation, ownership, problem solving, teamwork, and safety mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and PPE usage.

Tools & Equipment Used

• Flatbed CNC, vacuum systems, measurement tools, and software. Manual and electric pallet jack and Forklift license is a plus.
