This role ensures efficient production of high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate edit and maintain CNC programs for milling turning and other machining operations using CAD/CAM software.Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and specifications to determine machining requirements.Select appropriate tooling fixtures and cutting parameters to optimize cycle times and maintain quality standards.Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and improve processes.Perform program simulations and verify tool paths to prevent errors and reduce scrap.Maintain accurate documentation of programs setups and revisions.Ensure compliance with safety standards and company quality procedures.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.Support Lean Manufacturing by understanding analyzing and streamlining machining process.QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in CNC programming machining or related field preferredExperience:Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g. Mastercam GibbsCAM Solidworks or similar).Strong understanding of G-code M-code and CNC machine operations.Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.Knowledge of materials (metals composites) and machining processes.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Experience cutting multiple materials (Titanium Stainless Inconel Plastics)Preferred SkillsExperience with multi-axis machining and advanced programming techniques.Familiarity with ERP systems and shop floor data collection.Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.#DGOTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
