CNC Technician at Trispoke managed services

Position Details: Title: CNC Technician Optical Polishing Location : Richardson TX - 75081 Citizenship Requirement: US Citizenship required 12 months contract to hire Pay : 1st shift : $27.74/ hr on W2! : 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM 2nd shift : $29.96/hr on W2! : 2:00 PM - 11:30 PM Job Description Diamond Point Turning (DPT) at OCMC is an ultra-high precision CNC factory specializing in the fabrication of optical components using CNC Lathes CNC Flycutters and Polishing Equipment. This facility operates at a level of precision far beyond traditional machining - candidates should be prepared for a highly technical and demanding environment. Manufacture precision optics and optical components. Read and interpret optical component drawings/specs including GD&T. Interpret interferograms CMM reports and other metrology data. Independently set up and operate polishing equipment lathes flycutters and other manual/CNC machines. Perform bi-weekly maintenance on polishing machines. Use advanced testing equipment such as interferometers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering and technicians. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Job requires standing 80-90% walking 10-20% bending 20% lifting < 15 lbs. Required Skills: Attention to detail and ability to follow directions. Hands-on mechanical skills: disassembling/reassembling components diagnosing issues. Strong geometry and trigonometry skills. Ability to work any shift including compressed schedules. Multi-tasking skills to run multiple machines in a cell. Dexterity to handle delicate optical components. Desired Skills: Two-year technical degree preferred. Experience with surface quality standards and inspection. Machine maintenance experience. Optical metrology experience. Training & Development: Initial training will be provided on first shift for a minimum of 2-3 months. Performance will be reviewed at 1 day - 60 days; candidates must demonstrate aptitude and ability to succeed in the role to continue. Direct hire opportunities may be available for experienced candidates within 2-3 months.
