JOB DESCRIPTION
Child Nutrition Program Assistant Manager
To assist with the management of the school food service program in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations, local and state health ordinances, and school district policies.
Assist in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner
Assume responsibility for seeing, during meal service periods, the supply of foods offered is replenished regularly
Assist in the daily clean-up of the kitchen and service areas
Perform major cleaning of equipment and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the Child Nutrition Program Manager
Assume responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods
Maintain such records as necessary for accountability
Exhibit personal grooming and dress appropriate for food service
Perform managerial duties in the absence of the Child Nutrition Program Manager
Be regular and punctual in attendance
Perform duties in a manner that promotes good public relations
Maintain confidentiality of any school system related business
Be familiar with and follow Board of Education policies
Maintain proper and professional relationship with students and other employees
Perform other job-related duties during the school day as assigned by the Child Nutrition Program Manager
Performs other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience in institutional food preparation, including one year supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Possess or be able to obtain a Serv-Safe Certification according to the requirements set forth by the Jefferson County Health Department. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.
