Coach-First Assistant, Boys Lacrosse at Plain Local School District

Responsibilities:*Assumes the responsibilities as head Coach in theabsence of the Head Coach.*Directs and assumes responsibility for the area of the program assigned by the Head Coach*Supports the Head Coach in conducting the athletic program of that particular sport and the total athletic program.*Is loyal to the coach and to the team. A First Assistant Coach generally must give up some of his/her own thoughts to conform to the overall pattern as set forth by the Head Coach.*Assists the head Coach in a manner which will be most beneficial to the entire program.*Assumes the responsibility for the development and guidance of a specific team within the total program as assigned by the Head Coach.*Attends all meetings requested by the Athletic administrator or Head Coach.*Covers scouting trips requested by the Head Coach.*Assists the Head Coach in checking in all equipment at the end of the season.*Abides by the Athletic Department policies and operating procedures*Performs other coaching-related duties as directed by the Head Coach Athletic Administrator or Principal.
