Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThis position is located at Marshall County Coal Resources in Cameron, West Virginia. We are seeking hard working, motivated individuals for an experienced level mining position and is assigned to the underground mining operations.Position will provide work directly to the safe operation of mining equipment, maintenance of equipment, and general labor support for all underground operations. Primary responsibility is to provide general labor as assigned by the supervisor.Pay Type: HourlyPay Range: $32.848-$33.915/hourEssential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesMust safely, effectively, and efficiently work and respond to changing conditions within the mineMust be able to safely operate underground mining equipmentMust ensure that body mechanics, equipment, and tools are utilized in a safe and responsible mannerResponsible for the safe and efficient production of coal and/or assistance in the production of coal in general work areasRequires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligationsMust comply with company policies, federal and state laws, and regulatory standardsConducting oversight of material delivery to designated work areaAbility to communicate with all levels of mine management and co-workersAbility to perform outby production support tasks including but not limited to compliance duties, brattice work, belt and power moves, and pipe and pumping supportVisually inspect work area for hazardsAbility to perform fill-in duties for other workers as necessaryWork independently without direct supervisionOrganize and prioritize assigned tasksStrong attention to detailMust be able to work approximately 900 feet underground 8-10 hours a dayExperienceAt least one (1) year related coal mining experience, preferredRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED, preferredReliable transportation to workRegular and punctual attendanceKnowledge of general mining practices, and State and Federal mining lawsMust be able to successfully complete industry approved training coursesState issued Experienced Miners card (current), if applicableState issued Apprentice Miners Card, if applicableMust be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independentlyMust be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background checkAbility to work in the United States without sponsorshipJob Schedule and Physical DemandsMust be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices)Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule on a 24/7 basis (subject to the applicant’s religious practices)Ability to lift bags of rock dust and operate rock dust machineAbility to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overheadAbility to push/pull as neededStanding, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overheadAbility to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as neededBenefits401k with 6% employer match for eligible employeesEmployee Savings Plans for eligible employeesComprehensive medical, dental, vision & Rx benefitsBasic Life/ADD Insurance; optional Term Life, Accidental Life InsuranceAdditional Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity and Accident Insurance benefits for eligible employeesShort and Long-Term Disability benefits for eligible employeesMonthly & annual bonus plans for eligible employeesPaid holidays & paid vacation
