Blasting/Coating at Powerhouse Resources

Pay is based on expierence. One week vacation and 7 holidays paid.  Qualities/SkillsetsAbility to support a safety conscious work environmentAbility and motivation to work independently and prioritize work tasks toAbility to promote and work in a team environment.  Positive attitude!!Ability to work overtime as needed to meet schedule demandsAbility to operate mechanical blasting equipment to properly prep material for measurements and coating application (OJT provided by Lark)Small blast-it-all cabinetsLarge walk-in booth requiring use of PAPRAbility to properly prep and apply various coatings to componentsAbility to read, interpret and follow basic drawings and/or work instructionsUnderstanding and demonstrated use of basic hand tools (e.g. ratchets/sockets, wrenches)Understanding and use of intermediate tools (e.g. right angle grinder, handheld drill/impact, drill press, shop saws)Ability to load material and safely operate water jet machine on-site (OJT provided by Lark)Qualified to safely operate forklift on a Duke Energy siteRigger Qualified (preferred but not required)Completed through a Duke Energy accredited organizationBridge Crane Qualified (NCCCO or equivalent) – preferred, but not required
