This position reports to the Aero Repair Manager who has responsibility for a collective of shifts groups or teams.The Coatings Supervisor will Plan Organize and Direct (POD) work to ensure a safe working environment and practices maintains the highest quality of product and people and achieve on time schedule attainment.Reports To:ARM ManagerWork Location: 2001 Proenergy Blvd Sedalia MO 65301Position ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize coatings process parameters to achieve consistent high-quality coatings.Adjust parameters such as gas flow rates torch power settings and powder feed rates for optimal results.Program and adjust 6 axes robot with 2 axes positioner for optimal efficiency of coatings applications.Operate and maintain coatings spray equipment including torches feedstock delivery systems and control mechanisms.Ensure proper functioning of equipment to achieve reliable and repeatable coatings.Ensure that coatings meet required specifications and quality standards.Identify and address issues that arise during the coating process such as defects inconsistent deposition or equipment malfunctions.Maintain accurate records of process parameters coating specifications quality control results and other relevant data.Expectations for the Coatings Supervisor include but not limited to:Effective Communicator: Evaluate direct reports both formally and informallyEnsure expectations are understood for safety quality and productivityEnsure employees are aware of Company information/news policy and expectationsCommunicate across the Company the expectations needs and situations as neededParticipate and complete daily pass-down when working with multiple Supervisors Reporting and Administrative: Safety all near misses and incident reporting with appropriate escalation as per policy and expectation from managerQuality responsible for accurate NCR reporting redlining and escalation of issues. Assist in the inspections of parts and work quality.Ensure accurate time keeping for reports and payroll completion which includes the approval process of PTOIssue Helpdesk and/or Fiix tickets as requiredMake consumable or tool requestSchedule attainment communication and documentationSkill Matrix Complete review of skill based pay on direct reports for reviewDiscipline - Prepares performance discipline documentation for review with appropriate Manager(s) Managing for Daily Improvement: Encourage and participate in shop improvement teams. Champion action items.Ensure all employees are maintaining and improving 5S standardsIdentify and correct behavior or policy violations & escalate as requiredIdentify and praise solid performance from individuals and/or teams and escalate.Communicate design and process improvement ideasTrack and communicate man hour status and goals Required QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED and/or 5 years experience in specific field or equivalentMust have basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) knowledge.Material handling equipment experienceMust have ability to operate forklift safely.Must have the ability and knowledge to rig properly and safely run an overhead style crane.Quality Standards and drawing/specification comprehensionUS work authorization is a precondition of employment.
