BERKELEY ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE INCCOLLEGE STUDENT INTERNSHIP- Member Services/ Cashiering Assistant MC POSITION SUMMARY To provide efficient and effective support services to various departments within Berkeley Electric Cooperative Inc. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive payments by cash check and credit cards. Post payments accurately to members account; issue the proper amount of change back to member. Greet members entering office establishment and direct them to the appropriate member service representative.All duties as assigned within the parameters of all applicable federal state and local labor and safety laws and/or regulations.All positions are required to participate in weekly group meetings with other interns. May involve special assignments and field trips.EDUCATIONMust be a high school senior or enrolled in a university or college program.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have good general office and computer skills be detail-oriented reliable efficient conscientious and able to work with minimal supervision.Must have organizational skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong ability to multitask.Must have the ability to communicate effectively and in a friendly and personable manner with employees and the public.Promptness is extremely important. Must be a team player. WORKING CONDITIONSGeneral office setting. Mostly sitting at desk. Some lifting bending and stooping.
