Get to know CONAbout the PositionThis is a part-time faculty role that focuses on delivering high-quality undergraduate and/or graduate nursing education, including clinical supervision. Responsibilities encompass instruction, student assessment, and collaboration on clinical placements and curriculum revisions. Appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon the College’s teaching needs.Duties:Participate in the ongoing development, implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of nursing academic programs:1. Participate in program and course revisions.a. Teach graduate and undergraduate nursing courses as assignedb. Supervise nursing students as assignedc. Participate in the evaluation and ongoing enhancement of the curriculad. Apply evidence from best education practices to curriculum development and to teaching2. Serve the College of Nursing, University, community and profession:a. Participate in community and professional activities as appropriate3. Contribute to the mission and strategic priorities of the College of Nursing and the University of Tennessee Knoxville.4. Collaborate effectively with other faculty and staff members both within the College of Nursing and throughout the University and community to develop inter-professional academic, clinical, and research opportunities.Work Location Various clinical sites in the Knoxville, Tennessee area Clinical models anticipate two days a week either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, ThursdayQualifications:Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with at least 5 years clinical experienceLicensure as a registered nurse in Tennessee prior to employmentEffective interpersonal skills and cultural competenceAbility to work with a diverse group of students and colleagues Desirable Qualifications: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at time of appointmentEvidence of successful clinical and/or classroom teaching experienceEligibility for APRN licensure in TennesseeExperience with instructional media and technologyApplication Instructions:To apply, please submit your application and materials through our Interfolio application system.
