Commercial Concrete Estimator at Mark Young Construction

Mark Young Construction LLC (MYC) has an excellent opportunity for a Concrete Estimator. Estimators drive the pipeline of work at MYC and are essential to the profitability of our projects from remodels to new construction.The Estimator works closely with Project Managers on various projects throughout the year performing quantity surveys assembling estimates and soliciting bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Opportunities also exist for exposure to Clients Architects Engineers and Consultants to determine the work scope and costs for building projects.The Estimator will continually improve his/her ability to analyze blueprints specifications proposals and other documentation to assist in the preparation of time cost and labor estimates.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare quantity surveys and estimates costs of materials labor and equipment for projectsResearch and interpret construction documents including specifications and drawingsAssemble estimates utilizing Microsoft Excel computer spreadsheetsAssist in Subcontractor and Supplier bid solicitation and reviewQualifications & Requirements:Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering Construction Management or Business Administration from a 4-year college or five(5) years of related experienceExperience doing estimates onprojects totaling $5 million dollars or moreAbility to read and analyze construction documents for commercial and civil construction projectsAbility to effectively and efficiently communicate with Managers and VendorsAbility to solve practical problems and examine a variety of tangible variablesBenefits and Compensation:Salary: $85000 - $100000 per year (depending on experience)Company paid medical dental and vision insurancefor employeeCompany paid short and long term disability2 weeks of Paid Time Off 1st year - 3 weeks of PTO 2nd year7 Paid Holidays401k after 3monthsWeekly PaycheckFull-time permanent positionAbout Us:MYC is a leading General Contracting firm located in Frederick Colorado performing work along the Front Range.
