Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a rapidly growing commercial HVAC service provider supporting customers throughout North Carolina. This team is expanding and hiring multiple technicians at both junior and senior levels to service commercial client sites. Technicians operate from home, receive assignments electronically, and travel statewide to resolve issues-often working until the job is complete-making a direct, visible impact on uptime, comfort, and energy performance for customers. The company equips field teams with vehicles, tablets/phones, and modern service software, and offers paid vacation/PTO, health insurance, and standard industry benefits, along with an every-8-weeks on call rotation. We're seeking dependable, customer-focused technicians who take pride in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial systems independently in the field. Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with split systems, packaged rooftop units (up to 40 tons), commercial package boilers (e.g., Raypak or similar), air cooled chillers, and pump systems. You'll diagnose issues, perform PMs and corrective repairs, document work in mobile tools, coordinate with dispatch/parts/vendors, and communicate clearly with customers. Junior technicians (including recent trade school grads) will ride with experienced teammates until trained, while senior technicians will serve as subject-matter leads and informal mentors with an eye toward future leadership opportunities. Responsibilities: Lead or assist with diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including split systems, RTUs (to 40 tons), commercial package boilers, air cooled chillers, and pumps. Execute field service from home dispatch: travel across North Carolina (often long day trips), manage work orders via tablet/phone, and remain on site until resolution or parts are required. Perform start ups, system checks, and commissioning tasks; verify performance, complete service reports, and capture recommendations for corrective actions and follow up. Collaborate with dispatch, parts, and vendors to source components, schedule return visits, and ensure timely completion; provide clear customer communication on findings and next steps. Support safety, quality, and compliance standards; maintain company vehicle and tools; participate in the on call rotation (approximately 1 week out of every 8) and work overtime as needed. (Senior) Serve as a technical resource and mentor for less-experienced techs; (Junior) progress from ride along training to independent service as proficiency is demonstrated. Requirements: Junior: 1-2 years of commercial HVAC service experience or completion of an HVAC trade program; Senior: 5-10+ years of commercial service experience with strong independent troubleshooting. Proficiency with commercial split systems, RTUs (to 40 tons), package boilers (Raypak or similar), air cooled chillers, and pump systems; capable of diagnostics, PMs, and repairs. EPA Section 608 certification; valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; comfortable operating a company vehicle and managing tools/equipment safely. Ability to travel statewide for day assignments, work 9-9.5 hours per day on average and handle physically demanding tasks; willingness to participate in an every 8 weeks on call rotation. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and customer service skills; fluency with mobile service applications and digital workflows. Growth mindset with interest in advancing into leadership/management as the organization continues to scale.
