Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHOODZ of the Mid-Hudson Valley is looking for Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technicians. While experience is not necessary, previous small engine, mechanical, electrical, or kitchen hood cleaning experience is a plus.Our service involves cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including the kitchen hood, ductwork, and exhaust fans. We clean from rooftop down to cooktop. We combine on-the-job, hands-on training with safety and technical training via HOODZ University on the web. Web training must be completed within 30 days of hire date.  A strong work ethic and consistent reliability can lead to long-term growth and career advancement within the company. Technicians who demonstrate the ability to quickly learn job skills and exhibit leadership qualities can advance quickly into team leader positions. Those interested in leadership roles will receive the necessary training to support their promotion. Team leaders take on greater responsibility—and earn increased pay as a result.Technicians must:Have a valid Driver’s License, clean driving record (abstract report required) AND reliable transportationHave strong English communication skills, multilingual communication skills are a plusBe able to pass a drug screening and criminal background checkBe dependable; able to show up on time, read and understand safety plans and proceduresBe comfortable with and able to climb ladders to gain rooftop access to commercial establishments, able to lift and carry 50 lbs., a minimum of 100 feetHave excellent attention to detail and work fast and efficientlyBe able to work flexible hours; nights and some weekendsBe able to work in both hot and cold weatherBe able to complete work projects from start to finish, with limited supervisionHave excellent communication skills; able to communicate well with customers and other HOODZ team membersHave the desire to learn quickly and be able to work in a fast-paced work environment with a growing companyJob duties include:Represent the company as the primary location interface with the client’s representativePower washing of kitchen exhaust systems including hoods, duct work, filters and exhaust fansThe set up and take down of all job sites and equipment including wiping down of hoods, setting up wet/dry vacuums, high pressure hoses, pre-sprayers, ladders, hanging plastic sheeting, etc.Complete all Service Reports, take before and after pictures of all workMaintain equipment, reporting any mechanical deficiencies
