Job Details
We are seeking an experienced associate or counsel to join our real estate practice, working on a wide range of commercial real estate matters. This role is focused on complex leasing transactions, while also providing exposure to broader real estate work, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing of commercial properties.
You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients and take ownership of sophisticated matters, advising on both transactional strategy and day-to-day legal issues. This position offers a strong platform for continued growth within a collaborative team handling high-level real estate work.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial lease agreements
Advise clients on leasing structures and ongoing lease-related matters
Support acquisitions, dispositions, and financing of commercial real estate assets
Assist with development projects and related transactional work
Represent clients in franchise-related leasing and related agreements
Review and negotiate agreements related to renewals, assignments, and transfers
Conduct and manage due diligence in real estate transactions
Provide general corporate real estate support in connection with transactional matters
Qualifications
5 to 10 years of experience in commercial real estate law
Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases
Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing of commercial properties
Familiarity with franchise-related leasing or distribution-related agreements preferred
Experience handling asset acquisitions and related transactional work is a plus
Strong academic credentials and law firm experience
Requirements
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage sophisticated matters with minimal supervision
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of matters
