Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPURPOSE OF THE JOBResponsible for composing a variety of business and individual loans, both secured and unsecured, and may be complex in nature. Commercial Relationship Managers target general-industry clients with annual revenues $1M or greater.MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOBDevelops new business through identifying and building relationships with both existing and prospective customers;Actively manages a commercial loan portfolio in order to minimize risk to the bank and improve portfolio quality;Actively participates in community and/or professional organizations;Serves as a primary contact for all financial services linked to an individual client with Home Bank;Recognizes the needs of their customers and recommends appropriate product or service;Develops knowledge of all clients and prospective clients by comprehensive profiling of commercial business owners and other principals;Creates partnerships with other departments within Home Bank to ensure that all commercial clients needs are met as well as cross-sell opportunities are identified and met;Research and analyze data to create loan presentations to loan committee when required;Negotiate proper loan structures by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests and sell Home Bank’s credit and non-credit products;Provide financial advice and consultation to clients and prospective clients regarding the trends and conditions of current business environment and financial institutions;Perform other duties assigned by ManagerInclude managing responsibilities if applicableWHAT WILL YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDBachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or other related area preferred;Three years’ experience in commercial loan underwriting and/or commercial lending;Five years’ experience in a financial institution or loan officeKnowledge and understanding of commercial lending practices, loan documentation and loan servicing requirements;Knowledge of financial analysis including trend projections;Knowledge of credit underwriting, documentation, loan policy and regulations;Knowledge of accounting and financial principals;Knowledge of marketing and sales practicesGood communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver oral and written presentations;Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office;Time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to sell Home Bank products and services within local community;Capability to interpret financial information and data and determine the value of collateral offered;Ability to identify and develop relationship strategies for retention and client expansion;HOME BANK IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENTGOOD CREDIT IS A MUSTCREDIT REPORT IS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT
