Commercial Strategy Associate
Wayfair's Commercial organization delivers on Wayfair's promise to help everyone anywhere create their feeling of home through building an unparalleled selection, driving tangible value, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This team builds strong relationships with suppliers to provide true partnership in helping customers create a space that reflects who they are and what they need. They attract, grow, and retain Wayfair's customer base through innovative marketing strategies. This team curates and refines product collections to enhance and optimize the shopping journey. As an Associate, you'll develop and execute strategies that generate competitive advantages for Wayfair, and the results of your findings will improve the end-to-end supplier and customer experience.
Analyze data and trends to improve the quality of our product catalog in order to increase customer satisfaction, trust, and site conversion rates; researching categories and vendors to build out selection
Create cross-functional partnerships to advance your category and suppliers through merchandising, promotions, marketing, on-trend product selection, effective pricing and profitability, and operational excellence
Create and enforce best practice guidelines to enrich product assortment, optimizing processes to enable high quality & efficiency while guaranteeing an easily digestible experience for suppliers & internal stakeholders
Build key supplier relationships to enable successful negotiations and push towards a best-in-class customer experience
Leverage data to analyze the competitive environment, report on performance trends, and develop business cases for strategic initiatives
Represent Wayfair at various offsite events such as trade shows
Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
1-3 years of transferable experience in a corporate environment, including internship and co-op experience
You must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
Analytical mindset able to process large volumes of data using a variety of reporting tools (Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, etc.)
Ability to distill complex information in a simplistic way via emails, charts, graphs, and other forms of presentations
Passionate about execution with a strong interest to drive customer engagement Desire to own projects from beginning to end, and thrive as part of a team as well as individually
Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong project management and prioritization skills
0-3 years of transferable experience in a corporate environment, including internship and co-op experience.
Bachelor's degree.
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future. Visa sponsorship includes the following work visas: STEM OPT EAD, H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, J-1, or TN.
Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI).
Possible Team Placements:
As a Commercial Strategy Associate, you'll join our teams that are driving Wayfair's best-in-class online customer experience. You'll be responsible for owning and maintaining Wayfair's vast e-commerce catalog, executing strategy for product categories and managing supplier relationships, and continually improving the customer's on-site shopping experience.

Category Management
The Category Management team drives strategy for Wayfair's product categories through tight internal and external partnership. We serve as ambassadors of the product categories we manage. We are at the forefront as Wayfair redefines the supplier experience as a platform, giving suppliers more data, more transparency, and more control while retaining the high-touch elements that make working with Wayfair exceptional. Internally, we leverage a diverse set of cross-functional partners to execute our strategic vision. In a role on the Category Management team, you will be expected to define overarching goals and strategy within your category, problem-solve, articulate and execute against tactical plans, and manage key business metrics. Members of the team must be able to expertly negotiate internally and externally, while also being effective project managers.
