Job Description

Amazon is looking for a driven and experienced Communications Manager to join its Stores Communications team supporting the Delivery Experience. This role will lead proactive storytelling and strategic communications programs in support of Amazons fast delivery speeds. This role can be based in Seattle WA or Arlington VA.Key job responsibilitiesBuild and lead proactive strategic communications plans and campaigns to support Amazons delivery experience narratives.Deliver earned owned and social media coverage of Amazon delivery experience.Provide strategic communications guidance and support for business initiatives.Counsel senior business leaders on communications strategy.Work across internal stakeholders to deliver on objectives.Write and evolve messaging and talking points.Develop and write press release media pitches and owned channels content.Build and maintain relationships with reporters from top-tier media outlets.Prepare forward-looking plans for emerging issues.Successfully manage complex fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges both proactively and reactively- 7 years of recent professional communications or public relations experience- Bachelors degree- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.- Ability to drive progress and earn trust while working across multiple teams.- Experience working directly with media.- Creative and entrepreneurial thinking.- Positive can-do attitude.- Solid judgment particularly in narrow time frames.- Ability to multitask and prioritize.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status disability or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $114000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
