You matter and so does the impact you can make with us.Were seeking a passionate and community-driven individual to serve as a Community Health Coordinator in Lea County New Mexico.This is a temporary part-time role working approximately 10 hours per week for around 16 weeks concluding in late April 2026. This is a work-from-home position with required travel within Lea County. The ideal candidate is a resident of Lea County with strong ties to the local community.The role supports the Lifestyle Rx: Lea County Initiative which aims to reduce hypertension and improve access to health resources in rural communities. The coordinator will work directly with local residents community sites and health partners to promote blood pressure awareness healthy lifestyle practices and connect individuals to vital services.This position is posted in multiple cities within Lea County. Be Valued at the American Heart Association by following us onLinkedInInstagramFacebookX (formerly Twitter) and .ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Community Outreach & EducationEngage with residents at designated community sites to promote hypertension awareness.Distribute educational materials on blood pressure nutrition and physical activity.Support local events and campaigns that raise awareness about heart health.Blood Pressure Monitoring SupportAssist with the promotion of the tabletop blood pressure kiosk.Educate community members on how to use kiosks and self-monitoring devices.Partnership CoordinationCollaborate with local organizations as needed.Maintain communication with Association staff and community organizations to ensure smooth program delivery.Data & ReportingTrack outreach activities and community engagement metrics.Provide feedback and insights to improve program effectiveness.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.3 years of related work experience in health education outreach or social services.Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office.Ability to travel locally in Lea County; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Bilingual (English/Spanish or other local languages) a plus.Compensation & BenefitsThe American Heart Association invests in its people.
