Instructors will help greet family and answer any questionsregarding set-up etc.Instructors will lead guests down to the gym and/or pool. If the party is in the gym instructorswill interact directly with participants by leading games acting as an official and encouragingparticipation. If in the pool the instructor may swim but may also choose to observe activitiesfrom the deck. A lifeguard will be on-duty. Instructors will also supervise party room activity(opening of gifts eating etc.) but are more hands-off during that portion of the party as aparent will step in and lead. Instructors will assist the family in picking up at the conclusion of thescheduled party. Instructors will help with returning equipment to storage and putting away alldirectional/party signs.Occasional Saturdays between 9 am 2:30 pm. These hours are available only when a familyrequests a party. There are roughly 15 25 party opportunities per year. Parties last between1.5 - 3 hours. On any given Saturday there may be one to three parties scheduled. Instructorsare not required to work every party but will be added to the call list and contacted aboutpicking up hours if desired when each party is scheduled.Transferable Skills:Duties and Responsibilities:Will set up equipment for partyWill supervise party activitiesWill engage with participants during party activities.Will oversee child behavior and implement the disciplinary action plan as needed.Will communicate as needed with parents/guardians.Will show enthusiasm and create fun positive experiences through words actions and non-verbals.Will keep track of time worked and record it on timesheets.Will openly communicate with the recreation coordinator in a timely manner regarding programissues etc.Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)Desire to provide an organized and positive environment.Evidence of relationship building with youth.Evidence of initiative taking and self-directingThis job description is for general information purposes.
