Initial Posting Date: 11/26/2025Application Deadline:12/07/2025Agency:Public Employees Retirement SystemSalary Range:$5763 - $8920Position Type:EmployeePosition Title:Compliance and Regulatory Supervisor 2 (CRS2)Job Description:If you are a skilled professional with a legal background excellent communication skills the ability to lead a team effectively and strong attention to detail please apply today!The Public Employees Retirement System is recruiting for one (1) Compliance and Regulatory Supervisor 2 (CRS2) position in the Compliance Audits and Risk Division (CARD) Policy Analysis and Compliance Section (PACS).This is a full-time permanent position.This is a hybrid position based at our headquarters in Tigard Oregon and the successful candidate will need to work 1-2 days in the office depending on the weekly business need.This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.This is a management service supervisory position. It is not represented by a union or collective bargaining agreement.We serve the people of Oregon by administering public employee benefit trusts to pay the right person the right benefit at the right time.Compliance Audits and Risk Division (CARD)CARD assists the agency in meeting its mission by directing risk management and compliance activity for the agencys programs: Tier One/Two OPSRP Oregon Savings Growth Plan PERS Health Insurance Program and the State Social Security Program. The Division oversees and coordinates legal activities assists management in the identification and management of risks and provides independent audit and consulting services to ensure compliance with rules and identify operational inefficiencies. Additionally CARD oversees the agencys Information Security Program Continuity Management Program and records management.Policy Analysis and Compliance Section (PACS)PACS is responsible for administering the agencys policy development and implementation including legislative development and analysis applying both federal and state law. It is also responsible for the agencys administrative rulemaking and addressing and responding to appeals contested cases and disputes. This Section works with the Department of Justice in managing litigation and assists agency management in responding to employer legislative and executive stakeholders.What you will be doing:The primary purpose of the Compliance and Regulatory Supervisor 2 (CRS2) is to supervise the Appeals Team day-to-day operations by providing direction leadership and employee support. This position will work closely with internal and external interested parties including DOJ the Office of Administrative Hearings and member representatives ensuring our determinations are meeting agency mission and goals adhering to controlling law and rules and the agencys fiduciary responsibilities and treating all similarly affected members consistently.For a complete review of the position description please contact the recruiter .What Are We Looking ForMinimum QualificationsFour Years of lead work supervision or progressively related experience; OR one year of related experience and a Bachelors degree in a related field.Candidates who are the most competitive will possess the following skills background and areas of experience:Knowledgeable in legal processes specifically administrative appeals and contested cases.Skilled at interpreting applying and explaining laws rules regulations policies and procedures.Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.Experienced in reviewing researching and analyzing complaints as well as responses.Ability to lead with good judgment neutrality fairness ethics integrity and accountability.Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative.Ability to make decisions and participate effectively in a team-based management group.Strong attention to detail.Preference may be given to candidates with a legal background or law degree.Preference may be given to candidates with previous or current PERS experience.Benefits of Working for the State of Oregon & the Public Employees Retirement System:Our team focuses closely on collaboration to support fellow teammates while ensuring safety and looking for ways to innovate.
