Compliance Coordinator (Hybrid) at Claires

The Customs Compliance Coordinator plays an integral part in establishing monitoring and ensuring CLAIREs commodities are compliant with the ever-changing U.S. and foreign laws and regulations throughout the supply chain.Ensure the companys adherence to applicable U.S. and international laws and regulations related to the importation/exportation of CLAIRES commoditiesResolution of issues impacting the movement of CLAIRES goods across international borders including problem resolution with customs broker(s)Support accuracy and integrity of commodity information across all databases within the company to demonstrate Due DiligenceMaintain written policies and procedures related to import/export operation proceduresInterfaces with other internal departments as a resource to provide guidance education and best practices for trade compliance processes and requirements relevant to the businessSupport import/export or other trade-related audit activitiesPerform additional duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in or equivalent experience Demonstrated ability to work independently organize and accurately prioritize work be detail-oriented understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situationsStrong analytical organization and communication skillsExceptional attention to detailAbility to problem-solveProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent follow-up and follow-through skillsPreferred but not required:Import/export/logistics/trade compliance experience or relevant education experienceWorking knowledge of U.S. Tariff Classification and other government agencies such as Food and Drug (FDA) Fish & Wildlife (FWS) U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA)Compensation Range: $52000.00 - $71760.00Claires is committed to adhering to all applicable company policies and federal state and local laws and regulations.
