Compliance Specialist at Tesoro Group

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to join their team at (1) of their properties in Minneapolis MN (55406). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in property management (as an assistant property manager or property manager with compliance experience) knowledge and experience of affordable housing within section 42 income restricted and section 8 properties. This role is contracted to hire (90 days before conversion).This role will be working with 300 units of affordable housing.Salary: $24-$25/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).Schedule: Monday Friday standard daytime hours.The Compliance Technician is responsible for assisting with administering the sites subsidy program and administrative tasks involved with the day-to-day management of the site and is an important part of the Property Management Team.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the site-based property management program complianceInterviews residents and timely processes certifications in accordance with HUD rules and regulations along with policies and proceduresAccurately enters compliance information into the system.Supports property management by professionally administering marketing leasing subsidy administration and the turnover operationsPrepares all resident files to include all preparatory paperwork.Prepares all move-out material for Property Manager.Prepares completed move-in packets and maintains a supply of all pertinent materialsEnsures compliance with state federal and local housing laws.Stays abreast of any changes in fair housing and affordable housing compliance requirements.Enters marketing information installs resident enters vacate notices prints reports and enters all data into the system.Assists with subsidy administration in accordance with HUD rules and regulations.Position Requirements:2 years experience in property management assistant property manager or property manager role with compliance.Knowledge of government subsidy programs.Knowledge of affordable housing within section 42 income restricted and section 8 properties (full cycle leasing new leases and recertifications/renewals).Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Outlook and Excel.Be able to successfully complete a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.Tesoro Group is a leading provider of specialized talent solutions dedicated to connecting exceptional individuals with exciting career opportunities across various industries.
