This position may include a combination of day and evening assignments large lectures and small seminars and is being offered by a college strongly committed to the open door concept serving a diverse student population. Instructors will be expected to perform other duties consistent with their faculty job description as stated in the faculty contract. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: APPLICANTS MUST MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:Masters in computer science or computer engineering ORBachelors in either of the above AND Masters in mathematics cybernetics business administration accounting or engineering ORBachelors in engineering AND Masters in cybernetics engineering mathematics or business administration ORBachelors in mathematics AND Masters in cybernetics engineering mathematics or business administration ORBachelors degree in any of the above AND a Masters degree in information science computer information systems or information systems OR The equivalent.If you are applying based on the equivalent you will need to complete an Equivalency Determination Form. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with students co-workers industry leaders and administrators.Demonstrated commitment to remain current on issues within the industry and education.Curriculum planning program development and leadership abilities.Experience working with credit and/or non-credit courses and programs.Commitment to the philosophy of the community college.Experience that demonstrates successful active participation in community and/or professional organizations and institutions of higher educationParticipation in professional development training and/or industry-based certifications.Sensitivity to the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
