JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Consultant, Evidence Synthesis, Indirect Treatment Comparison (ITC)
Senior Consultants are project delivery leaders who design, manage, and oversee methodologically rigorous evidence synthesis studies. They work independently and collaboratively within global teams to ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables that meet the needs of clients.
Responsibilities
- Design HTA‑compliant evidence synthesis studies, including systematic literature reviews, network meta‑analyses, and matching‑adjusted indirect comparisons.
- Lead project management activities, develop deliverables, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Interpret observational and trial study designs and statistical results published in peer‑reviewed articles.
- Synthesize data qualitatively and quantitatively, and provide comprehensive analyses.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, ensuring high‑quality work and detailed review of all outputs.
- Support senior staff on specific business initiatives as needed.
- Operate independently or as part of a project team without direct supervision, and collaborate effectively across time zones.
Qualifications, Experience, Technical, and Personal Skills
- Master’s degree (required) or PhD (preferred) in epidemiology, pharmacology, public health, biostatistics, or related health sciences.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in evidence synthesis research, preferably in consulting, pharmaceutical, or health‑care academia.
- Substantial experience conducting independent meta‑analyses and ITCs in at least one programming language (R, STATA, or SAS).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a client point of contact and managing the delivery/implementation of projects.
- Expert knowledge of systematic literature review guidelines and best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong scientific and logical writing, and the ability to produce first‑author abstracts and manuscripts.
- Strong quality‑control skills with minimal typographical errors in drafts.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Commitment to collaborative teamwork, timely communication, pragmatic problem solving, and effective time‑management.
Salary and Benefits
Potential base pay range: $153,000.00 – $204,000.00 (annualized). The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, location, and other factors. Additional incentive plans, bonuses, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits may also be provided.
