Construction Engineer/Senior Project Management SpecialistCompany:Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Construction Engineer/Sr Program Management Specialist to join our team in Aurora CO.The Construction Engineer/Project Manager will manage facility construction direct subcontractors and lead a multidisciplinary team supporting design build and transition to operations and maintenance of mission support facilities for a proprietary government customer. The selected candidate will be a key team member leading construction project/program management and critical infrastructure operations and maintenance .In this role you will serve as a core point of contact for customers and will work directly with industry-leading design-build partners and government customers to establish and maintain advanced mission support facilities. Our customers timelines are aggressive and you will be asked to develop solutions maintain close contact and directly manage delivery in line with timelines and budgets. You will lead and manage multidisciplinary construction and O&M teams of subcontract partners service contractors and direct Boeing labor. Clear and concise written and oral communication of complex subjects to Boeing executive leadership and all levels of customer program management is required.Position Responsibilities:Develops comprehensive project plans including timelines milestones resource allocation and risk assessmentsIdentifies key program level horizontal and vertical integration interfaces between major activities teams suppliers partners and customersMonitor project budget identify cost variances and implement corrective actionsSupports the program manager in developing program architecture and top-level plans for program executionIntegrates the implementation of the Program Management Best PracticesEffectively communicate status updates to key stakeholders including customers Sr leaders and team membersEnsure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project requirementsDevelops work packages (to include budget/funding source schedule drawings specifications statement of work procurement estimates) and support/oversee transition from construction to operations & maintenanceEvaluates contractor proposals and administer contractor activitiesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Ability to obtain a Sensitive Compartmented Information classification pre-startAbility to obtain an adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph pre-start5 years experience in project planning and execution5 years experience in business management5 years experience in construction construction management construction engineeringPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active Top Secret /SCI with Counterintelligence or Full Scope polygraphBachelors degree in engineering (Electrical Mechanical Civil)Experience with facilities operations and maintenanceExperience working with suppliersExperience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representativesExperience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best PracticesExperience interfacing with senior and executive leadershipDrug Free Workplace:Boeingis a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Total Rewards & Pay Transparency:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
