Construction Internship at Northeast Power

Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative (Northeast Power) has an opening for a Construction Intern at the Palmyra Missouri location. Northeast Power is a transmission cooperative delivering power to northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa.This is a paid summer internship starting in May 2026 and ending in August 2026. The standard work schedule follows a 4-day 10-hour shift Monday through Thursday. Some flexibility in workdays and hours may be required based on project needs and assignments.What You Will Do:This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction and site development. As a Construction Intern youll work directly alongside skilled professionals and contribute to critical tasks that support safe and efficient field operations.In this role you will: Assist with trenching and excavation tasks on active construction sites Support conduit installation including layout and alignment work Help form and pour concrete for various site and infrastructure applications Participate in fence installation including measurement post setting and assembly Assist with general construction site preparation cleanup and material handling Learn and follow safety procedures and industry best practicesWhat We Are Looking For:We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable intern with a strong interest in construction and site work. This role is ideal for someone looking to build foundational skills in the addition we are looking for: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a formal educational program such as an Associates degree certificate or other recognized training program related to Construction Engineering Technology Skilled Trades or a similar field Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks Demonstrated reliability teamwork and strong communication skills Basic understanding of construction tools and safety practices Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced crew membersRequired Experience:Intern Key Skills Abinitio,Cobol,Environmental Consultancy,Facility Management,Insulation,Asic Employment Type : Intern Experience: years Vacancy: 1
