Job Description

Associate Construction Manager – Data CenterA leading cloud infrastructure organization is seeking an Associate Data Center Construction Manager to support large-scale data center builds delivered through colocation partners. This role is part of a technical construction team responsible for coordinating base building and MEP infrastructure, ensuring projects stay on track with quality, schedule, compliance, and design expectations.ResponsibilitiesSupport oversight of data center base building and MEP construction performed by colocation providersAssist with project schedules, milestone tracking, and coordination with internal and external stakeholdersIdentify risks related to timelines, quality, and scope, and support mitigation planningCoordinate tenant fit-out work with base building design, construction, and commissioning activitiesSupport quality control processes to ensure work meets specifications and industry standardsReview design plans and collaborate with design and construction teams to maintain alignmentServe as a daily contact with colocation partners to support communication and issue resolutionAssist with evaluating construction risks and their potential impactsEnsure adherence to codes, standards, and compliance requirementsProvide input on colocation partner performance for continuous improvementPerform regular on-site visits to track progress, coordination, and quality throughout the project lifecycleRequired SkillsKnowledge of data center construction disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbingExperience supporting startup and commissioning of technical facilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to support planning and development of project requirementsTechnical understanding of data center design, construction, and sustainability practicesExperience supporting large-scale construction projectsAbility to work under pressure and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teamsBasic understanding of construction budgeting and cost trackingFamiliarity with risk identification and mitigationExperience working with contractors and vendorsUnderstanding of relevant regulations and industry standardsClear verbal and written communication skillsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in construction project coordination or management, preferably in data center or colocation environmentsExperience supporting delivery of large or technically complex projectsStrong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
