Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMagrym Consulting Inc. is seeking a qualified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician in Midland, Texas. As a growing company, technicians will have the opportunity to grow with us. Candidates should be willing to work overtime and weekends as required. Duties include:Soil and Aggregate SamplingLogging materialsPerform Aggregate, Soil and Concrete TestingLab and Field workFollow ASTM and AASHTO StandardsSoftware data entryGeotechnical sample loggingMaintaining a clean working environmentAccurate recording of timesheetsDaily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home officeThe ability to train to achieve minimum certificates in ACI, NICET, and/or State Testing Certificates within 6 months of hireAbility to work outside in the vicinity of large construction equipmentAbility to utilize hand tools such as sledgehammers, shovels and picksObserving and documenting field activitiesMaintain equipment and lab vehiclesIn-house equipment verificationGeneral Skills:Attention to detailBasic Math, Microsoft Suite skillsExcellent communication with internal and external clientsGeneral maintenance skillsStrong safety focusPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift 60+ lbsStand in one place for 1 to 2 hours at a timeAbility to wear appropriate PPE for hazardous materialsWear steel toe shoes as neededAbility to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.At times, this position may be working at or on uneven terrain, varying heights, in confined spaces, or supported trenches.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid Texas Drivers LicenseClean driving recordACI Field Technician Certification (preferred)ACI Laboratory Technician Certification (preferred)ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician Certification (preferred)Ability to pass a pre-employment/random drug testAssociates or Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction is a plusBenefitsDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceOn-the-job trainingPaid time offPaid HolidaysPaid training401K Retirement planVision InsuranceDental InsuranceShort Term/Long Term Disability
