Our client, a well-established construction firm with over $4 billion in annual revenue, is expanding its Public Works division and is looking for a Project Accountant to support a growing portfolio of high-profile projects throughout the region.

What You'll Do
As a key member of the accounting team, you'll partner closely with Project Managers and Operations teams to ensure the financial success of multiple construction projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage high-volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
- Process union payroll and certified payroll reporting
- Perform job costing, project reconciliations, and general ledger activities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Review and prepare progress billings, retention documentation, and lien releases
- Assist with audits, journal entries, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with project teams to monitor project financial performance
- Utilize JD Edwards, Textura, Procore, and Excel to support project accounting functions
- Handle subcontractor payment processing and public works reporting requirements
What We're Looking For
3+ years of construction accounting experience
Experience with:
- Construction AP/AR
- Job costing
- Progress billing
- Lien releases
- Public works projects
- Union or certified payroll
ERP experience such as:
- JD Edwards (preferred)
- Sage / Timberline
- Other major construction accounting systems
Advanced Excel skills including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Financial reporting and analysis
Bonus Points For
- Textura experience
- B2GNow experience
- Prevailing wage knowledge
- Public works project accounting experience
- Experience supporting multiple active projects simultaneously

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
