Job Details

The Construction Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project-specific quality control programs to ensure all work meets contract requirements, codes, and company standards. This role partners closely with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to proactively manage quality throughout all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the project Quality Control Plan in accordance with contract documents and company standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, materials, and installations meet approved plans and specifications
  • Coordinate and document inspections, testing, and approvals with third-party inspectors, agencies, and consultants
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings for quality compliance and constructability concerns
  • Identify quality issues early and work with field teams to implement corrective actions
  • Maintain detailed quality documentation, reports, and punch lists
  • Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for definable features of work
  • Partner with project leadership to support schedule adherence without compromising quality
  • Support closeout activities including final inspections, turnover documentation, and warranty items
  • Travel to multiple project sites as needed following completion of the Sacramento project

Qualifications & Experience
  • 7+ years of construction experience with a strong background in quality control or quality assurance
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and inspection processes
  • Proven ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Effective communicator able to work collaboratively with field teams and clients
  • Comfortable in a traveling role and working in fast-paced project environments
  • Proficiency with construction documentation software and Microsoft Excel preferred
