EnerStar CCS a seeking great team member with good handyman knowledge.Core Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrioritize safety in all tasks and comply with company and client safety protocolsChampion EnerStar Core Values in all professional activitiesSpill Containment and Control Set-up and TeardownAssist in the setup and maintenance of containment barriers in designated areas as determined by the EnerStar CCS customerEquipment Maintenance and InspectionPerform regular inspections of containment equipment and materials to ensure they are in good working conditionConduct basic maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment used for spill response and containmentReport any equipment malfunctions or deficiencies to the supervisorSafety and ComplianceAdhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations related to spill containment and responseDocument and report any incidents near-misses or hazards encountered during containment activitiesSupport and CollaborationWork closely with other team membersAssist in the setup and teardown of containment sites ensuring all materials and equipment are accounted for and properly storedCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisors to provide updates on containment efforts and site conditionsHandyman DutiesUtilize basic handyman skills to support various maintenance tasks around the site such as minor repairs installations and general upkeepAssist with the construction and assembly of temporary containment structures and barriers as neededParticipate in other relevant tasks as assignedJob Demands /EnvironmentPhysical Requirements:This position involves frequent lifting (must be able to lift 50 pounds) bending climbing walking standing for extended periods and working in confined spaces. Candidates must have the physical ability to safely perform these tasks.Medical Fitness:Due to the nature of the work and safety protocols candidates must be medically fit to handle physically demanding tasks and work in varying environmental conditions. Pre-employment and periodic medical evaluations may be required.Work Conditions:Outdoor work in extreme weather conditions (heat cold rain snow wind) and exposure to dust noise and other environmental factors is common.POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducationHigh school diploma or equivalentExperiencePrevious experience in a handyman role or similar position preferredBasic knowledge of tools and equipment used in containment and spill responseKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong practical skills and the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasksGood problem-solving abilities and attention to detailFollow throughAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry heavy objects: 50 to 75 lbsWillingness to work outdoors in various weather conditionsCapacity to perform physical labor including bending kneeling and standing for extended periodsWorking ConditionsThe role involves working in outdoor environments often in remote locationsMust be willing to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and on-call shifts as requiredAdherence to all safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatoryEnerStar Solutions.
