Department:Parks and Recreation Department Organizational Unit:North Area Parks OperationsPosition Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time CLOSE DATE: 12/10/2025$2,022.03 to $2,224.23 bi-weekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs experienced professional work administering and coordinating contracts and agreements for professional and other services, grants, and other procurement-related agreements for the Parks & Recreation Department.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Management, Social Work, Legal Studies, or a field closely related to the area of assignmentPLUStwo (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administering or managing program or project contracts. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Local government contract management experience is preferred. Knowledge and experience in procuring and contracting for capital improvement projects is preferred. Knowledge and experience in drafting, creating, oversight, and management of construction contracts and projects is preferred. Experience with contract management software and/or data bases is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
