Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Contract CounselBroussard Brothers, Inc. | Abbeville, LAAbout the Role:Broussard Brothers, Inc. and its affiliated entities are seeking an Associate Counsel to join our Legal Department. This position will play a key role in supporting day-to-day legal operations with a focus on contracts, claims, and risk management. The Associate Counsel will work closely with leaders across the business to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal support that helps drive the company forward.Key Responsibilities:Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts and agreementsSupport compliance efforts, lease and rental agreements, and standardized contracting processesAssist with claims, disputes, subpoenas, collections, and insurance documentationProvide legal research, risk analysis, and clear guidance to internal stakeholdersCollaborate with outside counsel as needed and contribute to broader departmental initiativesQualifications:J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing1–3 years of relevant legal experience (law firm or in-house)Solid foundation in contract drafting, review, and negotiationStrong research, writing, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environmentWhy Join Us:At Broussard Brothers, you’ll be part of a company with more than 75 years of experience and deep Louisiana roots.
