Job Description

Empath Health is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Contracts Paralegal to support the legal and contracting needs of Empath Health and its subsidiaries. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment enjoys managing complex information and takes pride in ensuring accuracy compliance and smooth processes. The Contracts Paralegal will partner closely with the Associate General Counsel Corporate Contracts Administrator internal teams and outside counsel to manage our contract database support contract review and negotiation and assist with a wide range of legal operations.At Empath Health youll join a team thats not only mission-driven but also recognized as a Great Place to Work Certified employer reinforcing our focus on trust empathy and employee well-being.What Youll DoAssist with the management of Companys contract database system by uploading new and existing contracts to the database tracking renewal and termination provisions and coordinating master agreements with corresponding amendments addenda schedules etc.Coordinate collaborate and communicate with all departments regarding contract information and contract database functions including notices to responsible parties regarding contracts set to expire and renew.Review draft and negotiate contractual agreements using critical thinking and analytical skills in-house or outside legal counsel guidance Companys templates and preferred terms and conditions.Proofread edit and fact-check legal documents and contracts for accuracy and consistency according to Companys policies procedures and style guidelines.Coordinate additions and deletions of users in the contract database and preparation of reports concerning contract database.Collaborate with other departments and leaders to identify areas for continuous improvement of the contracting process templates and/or contract reporting.Provide support for new contracts and contract renewals with Company representatives and vendors and coordinate legal review with in-house counsel or outside legal counsel as necessary.Review and analyze contract terms to ensure completeness and note any compliance requirements.Provide support related to contractual agreements for audits document productions and due diligence projects.Maintain contract templates and prepare initial drafts of routine agreements and/or contract amendments for review by designated in-house counsel or outside legal counsel as necessary.Manage contract approval and signature process per Company policy and AGC or CLO guidance.Manage the Legal Inbox by receiving assessing priority for assigning responsibility for and tracking requests for legal and contracts services.Perform other duties that may be assigned by AGC or CLO.Why Join Empath HealthEarn Competitive Pay: Your skills and contributions are recognized and rewarded.Benefits & Wellness: Medical dental vision life insurance retirement with company match plus wellness programs to support your mind and body.Industry-Leading PTO: 5 weeks to rest recharge and live your Full Life.Grow Your Career: CEU support tuition reimbursement and advancement opportunities.Make a Difference: Join a mission-driven team dedicated to kindness compassion and Full Life Care for All.What Youll NeedBachelors degree in a related field; paralegal certification preferred.3 years of experience in contract administration legal support or a similar role.Strong knowledge of contract terminology legal processes and document management.Excellent communication organization and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Teams and contract management platforms (e.g. DocuSign Adobe Acrobat).What Youll Find at Empath HealthUnified in empathy we serve our communities through extraordinary Full Life Care for All.Empath Health is a not-for-profit healthcare organization providing Full Life Care through a connected network of services across Florida including hospice home health grief care geriatric primary care elder care (PACE) HIV and sexual health (EPIC) and dementia support.Full Life Care means caring for the whole person body mind and spirit with empathy and dignity.
