Job Description

RESPEC a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm is seeking a full-time Contracts Specialist to support the lifecycle of contracts and other forms of agreements for delivering professional services. This position plays a key role in ensuring contracts are negotiated executed and managed in compliance with legal standards company policies and project requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented collaborative and skilled in managing risk while supporting business objectives. Key responsibilities include:Contract Drafting & ReviewReview draft and negotiate engineering service alternate project delivery and subconsultant agreements in alignment with company policy and legal standardsDraft and communicate contract redlines and rationale to internal and external stakeholders identifying risk exposuresCustomize standard contract templates to meet project-specific needs while maintaining consistency with EJCDC and other industry standardsManage contract workflowsContract AdministrationManage contract execution track milestones and ensure compliance with all contractual obligationsMaintain accurate records of contract documents amendments and correspondenceGenerate reports and analytics to identify risk exposures and gaps in contract managementRisk Management & ComplianceIdentify assess and mitigate financial legal and operational risksEnsure compliance with applicable laws regulations insurances and industry standardsStakeholder CoordinationCollaborate with engineering legal project management and finance teams as well as clients subcontractors and vendors to facilitate contract executionSupport and coordinate meetings with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on managing contract risksQualifications : Bachelors degree in risk management business administration legal or related field of study is preferred or equivalent experience3-5 years of broad-based experience in contract compliance and/or administrationStrong understanding of contract law and best practices including EJCDC AIA and/or other industry frameworks for delivery of general engineering and other professional servicesProven negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholdersProficiency in contract management software and toolsSkilled with computer applications such as Microsoft Office SuitePreferred experience in engineering or professional services environments is strongly desiredAdditional Information : Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package.
