Position: Control Room Operator Location: Crosby Plant - Crosby, TX

Hours of work: 7 Days per Week; Rotating Shifts 8 or 12 hour shifts - Dupont schedule

The Control Room Operator operates the kiln reactivation system, and all other associated equipment.
The Control Room Operator operates pollution abatement in compliance with appropriate regulations.

The Control Room Operator maintains a neat and orderly Plant and reports to the Plant Manager. Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

Attends regularly scheduled Safety meetings and implements all CCC and OSHA safe work practicesConducts monthly safety observationsParticipates in audits and understands all associated proceduresFollows all Safety Guidelines and JSP's - makes suggestions for improvement if necessaryPerform general housekeeping in operating area and control room to keep a clean professional work areaOperates the kiln reactivation system and associated equipment with a minimum of direct supervisionAdjust the equipment as necessary to maintain product qualityUse available tools such as process history and data trending to make continuous improvements to the processMaintains accurate and legible process recordsWork with outside or inside company personnel to run trials or process experimentsOperates all equipment to maximize yields, conserve energy and keep process at optimum efficiencyUse desktop computer to track process data, production data, enter maintenance work order requests, and maintain effective communication Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)is requiredOne year certificate from college or technical school is preferred0-2 years of plant manufacturing experience is preferredComputer competency is preferredPrevious manufacturing experience is preferredAbout Calgon Carbon
