Angott Search Group is seeking a hands-on detail-oriented Controller to join a long-standing family-owned business with retail grocery and manufacturing operations. This role will oversee all accounting functions strengthen financial processes and provide strategic insight to ownership as the company continues to grow.Position OverviewThe Controller is responsible for daily accounting operations financial reporting inventory costing compliance and continuous process improvement. This position requires someone who can balance tactical execution with strategic thinking while thriving in a collaborative family-business culture.Key ResponsibilitiesManage AP AR payroll banking GL maintenance and month/year-end close.Prepare timely financial statements budgets KPIs forecasts and variance analysis.Maintain and improve product costing models margins and inventory accuracy.Partner with operations to reduce waste and improve cost controls.Coordinate with outside CPA for audits and tax filings; ensure GAAP compliance.Identify opportunities to streamline accounting systems and reporting processes.Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and collaborate across operations retail HR and sales.QualificationsRequired:Bachelors in Accounting Finance or related field3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing food production retail or CPG preferred)Strong GAAP knowledge; experience with costing inventory accounting multi-location operationsFamiliarity with modern accounting systems and ADPPreferred:Experience in a family-owned or closely held businessExposure to food manufacturing compliance (a plus not required)Key CompetenciesHigh integrity and strong alignment with family-business valuesAnalytical detail-oriented and organizedStrong communication and collaboration skillsProactive mindset with ability to improve systems and processesCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceComprehensive health dental and retirement benefits Key Skills Aviation Safety,Corporate Banking,Front Office,AC Maintenance,Cosmetics,Art Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
