*$5000 Hiring Bonus*QUALIFICATIONS Education & ExperienceMinimum of bachelors degree in economics finance or accounting Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or MBA preferred.10 years of related experience and 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity.Proven experience in a Controller role demonstrating a deep understanding of accounting processes technical accounting and financial management.Proven experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting budget development and analysis accounts payable and receivable general ledger payroll.Experience in accounting within community-based organizations or healthcare sectors including knowledge of industry-specific financial and accounting practices regulatory and compliance standards and operational processes is considered a plus.Advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software preferably Sage IntacctSkills & RequirementsCommitment to recruiting mentoring training and retaining a diverse team; the foresight and ability to delegate accordingly.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data including presentations to senior management board or other outside partners.Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers.Verbal and written ability to communicate effectively with colleagues community partners consumers and all levels of managementAbility to multi-task and prioritize projects and assignments effectivelyAbility to work cooperatively in a team environment within program/department and agency wideAbility to work in a mobile fast-paced environmentAbility to use a laptop computerFulfillment of TB test background check clearance and any other mandatory State/Federal requirementsValid California drivers license proof of automobile insurance can maintain a driving record acceptable to the agencys insurance carrier if applicable to positionMust provide and operate a registered properly insured automobile if applicable to positionESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSPosition SpecificOversee core day-to-day financial operations with a budget of $45 million supervising a team of 9 staff members including timely and accurate monthly quarterly and annual reporting in compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements.Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue costs and program budgets and actual expenditures.Lead preparation and submission of all finance related regulatory filings including IRS Forms and other federal/state requirements as needed.Manage the audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the agencys financial status.Assist the agencys leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare actual results with a view to identify explain and correct variances as appropriate.Oversee all financial project/program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period; collate financial reporting materials for government corporate and foundation grants and programs.Leverage strengths of the current finance team members help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity and alignment with organizational reserves and planning needs.Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization;
