Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proven track record in supervising accounting teams, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP.Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Coordinate and manage the annual audit process.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership for decision-making.Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.GAAP Accounting, Supervisory Oversight, QuickBooks, Financial Reporting QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.Certification: CPA designation strongly preferred.Skills:Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.Excellent leadership and team management abilities.Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Language: Bilingual in Spanish and Portuguese is a plus.Other: Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.For confidential consideration, please reach out to Emily Schneller, Robert Half Recruiting Manager, at 504-264-5922.
