Primary Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll and general ledger. Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to track production costs inventory valuation and variances. Lead budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes. Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to functional leaders across the organization. Ensure compliance with federal state and local tax regulations. Manage audits and relationships with external auditors. Implement process improvements and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Requirements Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience with at least three (3) years in a manufacturing environment. Skills & Attributes Strategic thinker with strong cost accounting and ERP system experience who can partner with operations to improve profitability. Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Proficiency with ERP systems. Excellent analytical problem-solving and leadership skills. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools. Licenses & Certifications CPA or CMA preferred Work Environment Regular exposure to a manufacturing environment including noise machinery and varying temperatures. Standard office environment.
