Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary:Willowwood, a leading manufacturer of prosthetic medical devices, is looking for Controller at its headquarters in Mt. Sterling, Ohio. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will oversee all financial and accounting functions within the company. This includes managing accounting staff, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and developing and monitoring internal controls. The Controller will play a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial reporting and variance analysis required to support the company's annual operating goals. Location: Mt. Sterling, OhioKey Responsibilities:Financial Management:Oversee all financial operations including cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and general ledgerPrepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAPPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysisPrepare ad hoc financial analysis as neededLead year end financial audit; work closely with third party audit teamSupport the CFO and FPA team with strategic planningInternal Controls and Auditing:Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assetsCoordinate annual audits and ensure timely completion of audit processesInsure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulationsTreasury Management:Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure the company's financial stabilityUpdate weekly cash forecasts and analysisOptimize cash management processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payrollDevelop strategies for improving cash flow and managing financial risksReview monthly bank reconciliations Team Management:Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvementConduct performance evaluations and provide training and mentorshipCompliance and Reporting:Work with tax preparer to ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, estimates, extensions and regulatory reportsStay current with changes in accounting regulations and ensure company complianceTechnology and Systems:Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems.Ensure that all operational changes that impact accounting have proper processes designed and system configuration completedRecommend system changes and upgrades to streamline and simplify financial processesEvaluate and recommend technology solutions to improve financial processes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA certification requiredMinimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a controller or similar leadership role2+ years of experience must be in a manufacturing companyStrong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and other relevant accounting standards and regulationsProven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and audit participationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detailStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team membersProficient in accounting software and financial management systems; experience with mid market ERP systems preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders Job Posted by ApplicantPro
