They produce Junior Mints Sugar Babies Charleston Chews Junior Caramels Tootsie Mini Bites and Mini Bites.Job Summary:Cambridge Brands Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to manage and oversee all controls and electrical systems within their Cambridge Massachusetts plant. These efforts will include electrical design PLC/HMI programming reading and creating control schematics in AutoCAD Electrical and maintaining and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems. This is a leadership position with direct reports including 3 Plant Electricians who this Controls Engineer will be responsible for mentoring training and managing. This is a full-time salaried position with expectation to work 1st shift and occasional overtime as needed.Key Responsibilities:Design build and maintain electrical/electronic systems and equipment including but not limited to:Automated conveyor and packaging equipmentRobotic cellsIndustrial communications networksBuilding HVAC and lightingOversee and manage sites electrical departmentUtilize leadership experience to mentor and manage team of Plant ElectriciansDesign draft red-line maintain and organize wiring schematics and system drawingsAdjust parameters in machines VFDs and servo motorsTroubleshoot and adjust PLC and HMI programsElectrically tune and troubleshoot equipment for proper operationAssist in the assembly programming and installation of equipment as necessaryProvide training to internal personnel as necessaryClearly and professionally interact with internal personnel and external contractorsProvide technical support for plant processes and improvementsObserve facility operations on a regular basisCommunicate with Supervisors on a daily basisDesired Qualifications:Education: BSEE or BSEET Degree Be familiar with Allen Bradley PLC Programming Software FactoryTalk ViewAutoCAD Electrical experience with projects and customization is a plusStrong candidates will also have experience programming and using: Siemens B and R Schneider Omron Beckhoff AutomationDirect controllersBasic knowledge of food processing plants and good manufacturing practices.Basic knowledge of proper work ergonomics and OSHA requirements for industrial applications.Attention to detail is a mustSelf-motivated and proactiveEnergetic friendly outgoing personalityDemonstrate creative thinkingHave a strong interest in Industrial AutomationHave a strong mechanical and electrical backgroundWilling to learn and grow with the companyBenefits Include:Competitive base salary starting at $140000 and discretionary annual bonusMedical Dental Vision and more plus 401(k) matching and profit-sharing for a sweet futureDefined work/life balance so you can savor lifes momentsThe opportunity to lead exciting marketing initiatives!Tootsie Roll LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Tootsie Roll LLC is an equal-opportunity employer.
