Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDrafter – Electrical (Low Voltage/BMS/EPMS)Location: On-site | Columbus, OH Employment Type: Full-timeCompensation: $70,000 – $80,000 DOE; paid weekly (plus standard JSET benefits)About JSETJSET Automated Technologies is an innovative, fast-paced company specializing in Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for data centers in the Columbus area. We hire great people and foster a problem-solving culture grounded in teamwork, quality, and results.The OpportunityWe're seeking an Electrical Drafter who will translate field measurements, redlines, and engineering direction into clear, accurate AutoCAD drawings and wiring documentation. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field leadership to support pre-construction, coordination, and as-built deliverables for multiple projects.What You'll DoProduce and maintain AutoCAD drawings: plans, sections, details, conduit/raceway layouts, panel layouts, cable schedules, and as-builts.Create and update wiring diagrams/schematics, loop diagrams, and I/O lists for BMS/EPMS and other low-voltage control systems.Convert field redlines and site measurements into final drawing sets; perform quality checks to ensure completeness and accuracy.Support document control: file naming, versioning, plotting/publishing PDFs, and maintaining drawing registers.Coordinate with field teams and PMs to resolve drawing questions, incorporate RFIs/submittal comments, and close punch-list items.Assist with pre-construction deliverables (takeoffs, preliminary layouts) and clash coordination documentation; collaborate with VDC when applicable.What You'll BringExperience in electrical design/drafting for low-voltage controls; exposure to protection and/or controls design is a plus.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel (e.g., cable schedules, panel schedules, BOMs).Excellent attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills in a fast-moving project environment.Ability to read and create wiring diagrams and interpret plans/specs.Familiarity with panel layouts and wiring.Clear, professional communication and dependable follow-through across multiple concurrent projects.Nice to HaveElectrical Engineering Technologist (EET) associate's degree or similar technical credential.Working knowledge of BMS/EPMS controls, raceway/conduit routing practices, and common trade terminology.Exposure to Revit/Navisworks/BIM workflows and basic clash documentation (not required but helpful).Why JSETHigh-impact work on mission-critical data center projects.Collaborative culture that values initiative, ownership, and continuous improvement.Competitive pay (weekly) and comprehensive benefits.Work ConditionsIn-Office role based in Columbus, OH, with regular local travel to job sites for measurements and coordination.How to ApplySubmit your resume (and any relevant drawing samples or portfolio links) to [email protected] with the subject line "Drafter – Columbus".Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
