Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Description An essential responsibility of a controls engineer involves designing and implementing control systems. These systems help in the automation of industrial processes, enhancing their efficiency and reliability. Controls engineers set parameters that determine how these systems respond to different conditions.Controls Engineer The Controls Engineers work closely with the Mechanical Designers, Electrical Designers, and Machine Assembly personnel as required to design systems and develop code for automation projects. They are expected to interface with the customers at both our facility and the customer's facility for Runoff and Machine Acceptance.Responsibilities:Develop Programming Standards and Code templates to reduce the time of completion of programming projectsMeet deadlines and take a project from start to finishLead large and small projects both at our facility and at the customer's siteDesign system architecture for machine control systems, including electrical schematics and network diagramsSpecify and Program Data Collection systems that interface with the PLC/PACInterface Controls Architecture with M.E.S. SystemsLead teams of controls engineers for larger projectsProvide quoting and estimating numbers to the Applications team as neededProvide Programming, Commissioning, and debug guidance to junior engineersTravel with equipment to customer sites for installation and trainingQualifications5+ years of experienceRelated degree or equivalent work experienceAble to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesMust be willing to help train junior engineers and techniciansWhy is This a Great OpportunityGreat work/life balanceOOJ - 32854
