DescriptionPosition Duties:Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation review and follow up automation projects and installationsTroubleshoot PLC robot and other automation problemsUpdate program backups for automationProgram new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systemsReprogram automation for engineering changes and improvementsCoordinate automation campaignsMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required2 years of Controls Engineering experience (internship and co-op experience will be considered)Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (RSLogix)Electrical Background (electrician or technician) or related experienceAllen Bradley Panel View use/programming AB Servo and AB VFD drivesFundamental working knowledge of Fanuc robotsFamiliarity with VFDs Armor starts encoders network/Ethernet controlsAbility to work rotating shifts and hours including days nights and weekendsSuccessful candidates will exhibit strong leadership interpersonal team-building and communication skills.Even better you may have...Bachelors Degree in Engineering2 years of Controls Engineering experienceStrong problem-solving skills including 8Ds FMEAs and DMAICsAbility to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and deliveryFanuc robot experienceKawasaki programming RS Logics Microsoft OfficePLC Ability to read prints AutoCAD interpret and modify electrical schematicsExperienced in laser burningStrong understanding of conveyor system programming and body tooling techniques in addition to networking understanding DH Ethernet and remote IOAbility to read blueprintsSimulation modeling exposureLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experienceLean Tools 5S Kanban Poka-yoke and Value Stream MappingDMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experienceTQM and Kaizen MethodsFMEA PPAP and DOEs experienceVisual Factory ManagementYou may not check every box or your experience may look a little different from what weve outlined but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company we encourage you to apply!As an established global company we offer the benefit of choice.
