This position involves food preparation, cooking, packaging, and operating within a fast-paced mobile kitchen environment. The ideal candidate has prior kitchen experience, strong teamwork skills, and is eager to learn proprietary recipes and cooking techniques. This role also requires driving and operating a 24-foot food truck, so a valid drivers license and clean driving record are essential.Key Responsibilities:Set up and break down workstations and cooking equipmentPrepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables and cutting meatLearn and prepare 12 proprietary sauces (training provided)Operate pasta maker (training provided)Cook food items according to recipes and quality standardsStir, turn, and monitor sauces and dishes while cookingPackage individual food orders neatly and accuratelyMaintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environmentStore food and supplies properly and in compliance with safety standardsCheck ingredient quality and freshnessMonitor stock levels and report shortagesRequirements:Proven experience as a cook or in a kitchen environmentProficient with cutting tools and kitchen equipmentBasic knowledge of cooking techniques (training provided as needed)Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 55 lbsMust be a nonsmoker and free of drug useStrong communication and teamwork skillsExcellent stamina and physical conditionHigh school diploma or equivalent (culinary diploma is a plus)Valid drivers license and clean driving recordAbility to obtain or current holder of a New York Food Handler CardWilling and able to drive a 24 truckPriority reserved to US VETERANSCompensation: Base Salary plus equity Based on experienceSchedule: weekdays, weekends, flexible hours, etc.
