Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurancePosition Title: CookDepartment: Chateau Saint Denis Qualifications/Education/Skills:Minimum Education - high school diploma or GED requiredMust have a Serve Safe Certificate or be willing to obtain one within 30 daysStrong customer service skills requiredAble to keep work area clean, neat, and organizedMust be able to follow guidelines and directions in the kitchen and dining areasStrong will to assist customer needs and be able to ask for help when neededMust be well-groomed and professionalMust be punctual and reliableStrong teamwork skills requiredJob Purpose:Responsible for preparing and serving daily breakfast bar, greeting each guest, and ensuring the guests are comfortable and overall satisfied.To assist in the preparation of food for events and banquetsEssential Functions:Guest ServicesSupport guest service as the main focus of the hotelInteracts with guestsCommunicates special requests made by guestsActively participates in Guest Service InitiativesBreakfast and Catered OperationsProviding personalized service to all guestsSetting up and maintaining the breakfast barTaking inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each dayOrdering or purchasing food suppliesPreparing food for breakfast and eventsStocking coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensersSetting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper productsSetting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacatedFollow menu requirements for eventsWiping up spillsRestocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next dayWashing serving equipment and returning to storageReturning reusable food supplies to storageKeeping breakfast area clean including removing trash, cleaning breakfast area and kitchen counters, table tops, cabinets, and floorsListening and responding to guests requests and complaintsFollow proper health standards on food prep, storage, sanitation, and other items the health inspector gives to the hotelOther duties as assignedWork Environment:Inside office settings, brightly litOccasionally working in smoky, loud, and confined areasLong periods on footStrong emphasis on weekends**It is not our practice to ask for personal information before our onboarding process.
