Job DescriptionJob DescriptionREPORTS TO:General Manager.DRESS CODE:Uniform providedPHYSICAL:Requires the ability to lift 40 pounds.NARRATIVE:A banquet cook will handle food preparation for large groups of people. Hours vary based on events. There is NO restaurant. RESPONSIBILITIES:Preparation and execution of food items required for all events, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Perform cooking, carving, and/or buffet stations as requiredOperates food production equipment according to manufacturers' instructionsCarefully follows standard recipes while preparing all itemsPlates food items for service (with assistance from banquet staff)Maintains the inventory of food and suppliesMakes sure all items are wrapped, dated, labeled, and stored properlyConsistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices.Keeps all areas of the kitchen clean and organizedAttends staff meetingsSets up plating line for banquet
